Pre Flight Jitters

Well, it's the night before the flight to Milan. I just checked the weather in La Spezia, and it's low 80's F in the day, mid 50's at night. As compared to low 90's at home, I have to say that is perfecto!

We are traveling with just one rolling backpack a piece, and have spent more time packing them than we ever spent filling a suitcase. Our flight for Milan leaves (finders crossed and thunderstorms averted) at 2:00 tomorrow, we land some 10ish hours later at 6:30 am al Italia. Post customs we find the shuttle to Milan Central and then the Intercity train to La Spezia, where Noelle will meet us for the travel to San Terenzo.

On the 10th we return to Milan and on th emorning of the 11th Maddie and I baord the EurRail for Paris and George comes home to work to fund the rest of our trip and take care of business back home.

5 days in Paris, 1 in Luxembourg, 2 in Brussells, 2 in Bruge and 4 in London and Watford later, we return on the 24th July. Hotels and rail (and Harry Potter tickets) are booked but other than that it's all about being lost in the centers of the old world.

We have passports, ipad, global droid, iphone and loaded kindle. Sneakers, flip flops, bathing suits, shorts and a light jacket each.

Now after days and hours and minutes on edge, I just need to get on the plane.... Italia, he we come!
